04 Jun Tales of Adventure Robin; Part 6
“Wow! We have been busy over the last few weeks.” … “The centre has seen a huge transformation. But in-between the finishing touches the staff have been getting a chance to play on some of the activities before we open and they have been having a great time.”
“The Giant Swing has seen its first adventurers. Anyone brave enough can get strapped in, hoisted up nice and high by the rest of their team before swooping through the air. I’ve been told that you don’t have to go all the way to the top too, which is great if you are feeling a little nervous.
The High Ropes course has also had its fair share of adrenaline seekers. You will get the chance to test your nerve and balance as you help the rest of your team conquer the obstacles. The staff have loved it and say it’s a great addition to Robinwood’s Ultimate Timetable. There have been plenty of smiles and screams (of joy) echoing around the site. A great way to enjoy the recent sun we have been having.
We have been making a splash over at our new lake. The canoes and raft building area have been put through their paces. A few staff even decided to take a dip! Some said that it was warmer than they expected! You will have to decide for yourself.”
A labyrinth of chambers has appeared in our brand new caving system. Because it is man-made, we have been able to design it so that explorers can decide how much they want to challenge themselves. There are tight squeezes to wriggle through as well as larger rooms that the whole group can sit in. I’ve heard rumours that there is a slide somewhere. I haven’t found it yet, I will need a group to help lead me there. Can you help?
It’s not long until I get to meet the real celebrities. The Piranhas! The pool has been filled up and is being prepped so that it has just the right conditions for them to swim around. I’ve heard that the piranhas are real divas too. If they don’t get their way, they tend to be a bit grumpy. I’m sure the instructors will get it right for them. We don’t want anyone getting bitten.
For any aspiring Robin Hoods and Maid Marians the archery range is set up and ready to go. The arrows are fletched and the targets are up. All we need is some hotshots to hit some golds.
Zip! Zip! Zip! Have a Nice Trip!!! There will be plenty of opportunities to shout this from the top of our Zip Wire tower. You will swoop past High Ropes, Night Line and Knights Quest before landing (gracefully) next to a Robinwood Instructor who will be helping people at the bottom. The system in place will allow up to 3 adventurers to zip away at a time, with plenty of space for others to watch whilst waiting for their go.
…Well the first groups are about to arrive and everyone is super excited! I’ll be sure to tell you all about it, but for now I have to fly.”
